Momentum's daily greeting is a small personal touch that welcomes you each time you open a new tab. The greeting changes automatically throughout the day, so it always matches when you're browsing.
When each greeting appears
| Greeting | Time range |
|---|---|
| Good morning | 4:00 AM – 11:59 AM |
| Good afternoon | 12:00 PM – 4:59 PM |
| Good evening | 5:00 PM – 3:59 AM |
These times follow your device's local clock, so your greeting will always line up with your own time of day, wherever you are.
Seeing a mantra instead of a greeting
If you're seeing a short phrase like "Be here now" or "You are creative" instead of a greeting, Momentum's Mantras feature is turned on. Mantras replace the greeting with a short, uplifting phrase instead.
Mantras work together with the greeting, so Mantras can only be enabled while the greeting is also enabled. Turning off the greeting will turn off Mantras as well.
For free users, mantras appear every once in a while rather than on every new tab. With Momentum Plus, you can pin your mantra to stay active at all times. Even then, the greeting itself still appears once per morning, afternoon, and evening.
To learn more or turn this off, see our Mantras guide.
FAQs
:::faq
Q: Do greeting times follow my local time zone?
A: Yes. Your greeting is based on your device's local clock, so it always reflects your own time of day.
Q: Why do I see a mantra instead of a greeting?
A: This means the Mantras feature is enabled on your dashboard. You can learn more or disable it in our Mantras guide.
Q: Why did my mantra turn off when I disabled the greeting?
A: Mantras are designed to work together with the greeting, so they can't be active without it. Turning the greeting back on will let you re-enable Mantras.
Q: What if my greeting doesn't match the time ranges above?
A: Double check that your device's clock and time zone are set correctly, since the greeting follows your local system time. If it still doesn't match, contact us so we can take a closer look.
