Adding custom Todo lists

Adding custom Todo lists lets you organize your Todo items in a number of different ways that might better fit your workflow. You can add new Todo lists directly from the Todo menu or in the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️.

Adding lists from the Todo menu

Click Todo at the bottom right corner of Momentum to open the Todo menu
Click the active list name at the top left of the Todo menu
Select the + New List option
Type in a name for your list
Press the enter/return ↵ key on your keyboard.

Adding lists from the Todo Settings

Visit the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️
Click the + Add List button
Type in a name for your list
Press the enter/return ↵ key on your keyboard.

Adding/changing Todo list color labels

The color label is the colorful stripe that appears to the left of a Todo list name. Use color labels to add a bit of personality to your Todo, or as a way to quickly identify your lists.

To add or change a color label:

Visit the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️
Click the small box to the left of a Todo list
Select one of the color options.

Moving todo items between lists

To move a todo item to a different Todo list:

Hover your mouse cursor over a todo item
Click the ellipsis (...) that appears to the right of it
Select the Move to option
Choose the list you want it moved to from the drop-down.

Moving a todo to a neighboring list

To quickly move a todo item to a neighboring Todo list, click, drag, and drop a todo item overtop the left or right side of the Todo menu.

Reordering Todo lists

When you reorder your Todo lists in the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️ you change the order that they display in the Todo list drop-down, along with which Todo lists neighbors.

A Todo list that is directly above another Todo list will appear on the left side of the Todo menu when you drag a to-do item overtop of it.
A Todo list that is directly below another Todo list will appear on the right side of the Todo menu when you drag a to-do item overtop of it.

To reorder your Todo lists:

Visit the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️
Click the list name, drag it up or down the list, and then release your click.

Renaming and deleting custom Todo lists

To rename a custom Todo list:

Visit the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️
Double-click the list that you want to rename (or click the Rename option that appears)
Make your changes
Press the enter/return ↵ key on your keyboard.

To delete a custom Todo list:

Visit the Todo section of Momentum's Settings ⚙️
Hover your mouse cursor over the list that you want to delete
Click the Trash can icon that appears to the right and then click Yes (or No, if you've changed your mind).

If the Todo list you're deleting has to-do items in it, click Move to Inbox. This extra step is to ensure that you don't accidentally lose any important to-do items.
