Work faster in Momentum with keyboard shortcuts for your most common actions, from opening apps to managing your tasks and notes. Below is every shortcut available today, organized by area of your dashboard.
💡 Before using any shortcut below, make sure you haven't selected a text field, such as the address bar, search box, or Focus input. Shortcuts only respond when no text field is active.

Tasks keyboard shortcuts
Create a new task
Press cmd ' on macOS or ctrl ' on Windows to start a new task from anywhere on your dashboard.
Add a new task to the top of your list
New tasks go to the bottom of your list by default. To add one to the top instead, type it out, then press cmd enter on macOS or ctrl enter on Windows.
Switch between task lists
While Tasks is open, press ← or → to move between your task lists.
Switch between Tasks integrations
While Tasks is open, hold shift and press ← or → to move between your connected integrations.
Toggle compact view
Press cmd \ on macOS or ctrl \ on Windows to switch Tasks between compact and full view.
Move a task to your Today list
Hover over a task, then press the spacebar to move it to your Today list. Press the spacebar again on a task already in Today to move it back to its original list.
Delete a task
On macOS, hover over a task and press cmd delete to remove it.
Notes keyboard shortcuts
Create a new note
Press cmd ' on macOS or ctrl ' on Windows to start a new note.
Move between notes
While the Note editor is open on macOS, hold cmd and press ] to move to the next note or [ to move to the previous note. A shortcut for this action isn't currently available on Windows.
Toggle the sidebar
Press cmd \ on macOS or ctrl \ on Windows to show or hide the Notes sidebar.
Toggle fullscreen
Press cmd shift f on macOS or ctrl shift f on Windows to expand your note to fullscreen.
Delete a note without confirmation
On macOS, press shift cmd delete to delete the open note immediately, skipping the confirmation prompt. A shortcut for this action isn't currently available on Windows.
