If you've decided to stop using Momentum, you can permanently delete your account and its associated data. This removes your personal information, preferences, and saved content from Momentum.
Account deletion is permanent, so make sure you've saved anything you want to keep before continuing. Once your account is deleted, it can't be recovered.
⚠️ Important: Deleting your account permanently removes your Momentum data, preferences, and history. This action can't be undone.
Before you delete your account
Before deleting your account, take a moment to save anything you may want later and consider whether deleting the entire account is necessary.
Save anything you want to keep
If you want to keep information from Tasks :momentum-tasks:, Links :momentum-links:, Notes :momentum-notes:, or other Momentum features, copy or export it before deleting your account.
Once your account is deleted, you won't be able to recover this information.
Take a break without deleting your account
If you simply don't want to use Momentum right now, you can stop using it without deleting your account.
Your saved data will remain available if you decide to return later.
Cancel Momentum Plus without deleting your account
If you only want to stop your Momentum Plus subscription, you don't need to delete your Momentum account.

Delete your account
The steps for deleting your account depend on which version of Momentum you're using.
⚠️ Before continuing: Account deletion is permanent. Make sure you've saved anything you want to keep.
Momentum Dash 2.27.1 or later
- Open Settings :settings-2: in the bottom-left corner.
- Click your profile card near the bottom-left corner. It displays your name and profile photo.
- Scroll to the bottom of your account settings.
- Click Delete account.
- Type
deleteto confirm that you want to permanently delete your account. - Click Delete my account.
If you change your mind before confirming, click Keep my account instead.
If you have an active Momentum Plus subscription
Momentum will ask you to cancel your active subscription before you can delete your account.
- Click Go to Subscription.
- Cancel your active Momentum Plus subscription.
- Return to your account settings.
- Select Delete account again.
- Complete the deletion confirmation steps.
💡 If you decide not to delete your account, click Cancel to keep your account instead.
Earlier Momentum versions
You can delete your account from your Momentum Profile:
- Open Settings :settings-2: in the bottom-left corner.
- Click the arrow next to your name or profile photo.
- Select Profile. Your Momentum Profile opens in a new tab.
- Click Delete.
- Select Delete account.
- Follow the confirmation steps to permanently delete your account.

What happens after you delete your account
Once you confirm account deletion:
- You lose access to your account immediately.
- Your personal data is scheduled for permanent removal within 30 days.
- Your Tasks, Links, Daily Goals, preferences, and settings are deleted.
- Synced Momentum data across your devices is removed.
After deletion, your previous data and settings won't carry over if you decide to use Momentum again.
To return to Momentum later, you'll need to create a new account. If you want Momentum Plus features again, you'll also need a new Plus subscription.
⚠️ Account recovery isn't possible after deletion.
Data removal and privacy
When you delete your Momentum account:
- Your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
- Some anonymized data may be retained for analytics.
- Payment records may be retained where legally required for accounting.
- No personal information remains once deletion is complete.

If you only want to remove Momentum from your browser, you don't need to delete your account.
