Changing display name

Your display name is the greeting you see at the center of your dashboard, so you can personalize it to feel more like you. You can update it anytime from your dashboard or Account Settings.

Update your display name

You can change your display name directly from the greeting on your dashboard.

1. Click the ••• icon next to your greeting at the center of your dashboard.
2. Select Edit your name.
3. Enter your new display name.
4. Press enter on Windows or return on Mac to save your changes.

Update your display name from the dashboard

You can also edit your name by double-clicking your current display name.

1. Double-click your name at the center of your Momentum dashboard.
2. Type your new name.
3. Press enter on Windows or return on Mac to save your changes.

Update your display name from Account Settings

If you're using Momentum Dash 2.27.1 or later, you can update your display name from your account settings.

1. Open Settings :settings-2: in the bottom-left corner.
2. Click your profile card near the bottom-left. It shows your name and profile photo.
3. Under Display name, enter your new name.
4. Press enter on Windows or return on Mac to save your changes.

Q: Is there a character limit for my display name?

A: There's no character limit for your display name. You're free to use special characters too, so feel free to make it your own.

Q: Does changing my display name affect my login or account email?

A: No, your display name is separate from your account email and login details. Changing it only updates how your name appears on your dashboard.
