Connect Todoist to Momentum Tasks to manage your tasks in one focused workspace. View, organize, and complete your Todoist tasks directly inside Momentum without constantly switching between apps. Any changes you make will automatically sync with Todoist, keeping everything up to date across both platforms.
Todoist integration is available with Momentum Plus, which also unlocks additional productivity features like Focus Mode, Notes, Soundscapes, and more.

Momentum Plus Exclusive
To use the Todoist integration, you'll need:
- An active Momentum Plus subscription
- A Todoist account
Connect Todoist to Momentum
Before getting started, make sure you have a Todoist account. If not, you can create one on the Todoist website.
To connect:
- Open Tasks from the bottom right of your dashboard
- Click the dropdown next to your task list name
- Click Connect integration
- Choose Todoist
- Log in and authorize your Todoist account
Once connected, your Todoist boards will appear in Momentum.
Manage your Todoist tasks
Add a new task
- Click New Task (bottom of Tasks)
- Type your task
- Press Enter
Edit a task
- Double-click the task
- Make your changes
- Press Enter
Complete a task
- Click the checkbox next to a task
- The task is completed in both Momentum and Todoist.

Switch lists quickly
- Click the list name (top left)
- Select another list
Shortcut:
- Press ← / → to switch lists
Add a subtask
- Click the subtask icon on a task
- Type the subtask name
- Press Enter
Move and reorganize Todoist task
Drag tasks within a list to reorder them, or open expanded view to move tasks across project lists.
Reorder tasks
Drag a task up or down to reorder it within any project list.
Note: Today and Upcoming follow Todoist's sort order.
Expand Tasks view
Click the expand icon (top right of Tasks) to open Tasks in expanded view, where the left panel shows the project lists and lets you drag tasks between lists directly making it faster to move tasks without switching views.
More options for task list
Click the three dots (More options) next to a list (such as Inbox, Today, or Upcoming) to open the list options menu.
- Show top task in center: Pins the top task to the center of the dashboard.

Show completed: Select how long completed tasks stay visible.
Never: hidden immediately
Forever: always visible - Show assigned: Shows only tasks assigned to you.
- Stay open: Keeps the Tasks panel open when clicking elsewhere on the dashboard.
- Use subtasks for top task in center: Includes subtasks when displaying the top task in the center of the dashboard.
- Always show subtasks: Keeps subtasks expanded under their parent task at all times.
- View in Todoist: Opens the list in Todoist for full editing, comments, and advanced options.

Q: Why can’t I edit my Todoist task?
A: Some edits are not available in Momentum.
Click **••• → View in Todoist** to make full changes.
Q: Why don’t I see my tasks?
A: Check the following: You’re connected to the correct account. You selected Switch to… → Todoist. Sync has completed
Q: Why do I see the same task multiple times?
A: Tasks appear in multiple views (Today, lists, etc.).
This is the same task shown in different places.
Q: Can I reorder tasks in all lists?
A: No. Reordering is not available in Today and Upcoming due to Todoist limitations.
