See exactly how much time remains until an upcoming appointment, deadline, event, or special occasion, right from your Momentum dashboard. With your Countdown visible at a glance, you can keep important dates top of mind without leaving your new tab or checking another app

Countdowns are available exclusively to Momentum Plus members.
Turn Countdown on or off
Turn Countdown on when you want your upcoming dates visible at the top-right of your dashboard. Once enabled, you can add new Countdowns or open and manage the ones you've already created.
- Open Settings :settings-2:.
- Select General.
- Find Countdown under Show.
- Turn the switch on or off.
Add a Countdown
Add a Countdown for any date you want to keep visible while you work. You can give it a name, choose the date and time, personalize its icon, and optionally pin it so it stays on your dashboard.
- Click Add :grid-2x2-plus: at the top-right of your Momentum dashboard.
- Select Countdown :calendar-check:.
- Enter the Name of your Countdown.
- Select the Date.
- Set the Time. Optional and defaults to 9:00 AM if you don't select a time.
- Choose an Icon for your Countdown. Optional and defaults to the calendar icon.
- Turn on Pin to Dashboard. Optional if you want the Countdown to stay visible on your dashboard.
- Click Add.
Manage your Countdowns
Once you've added a Countdown, you can pin it, update its details, archive it, or control how multiple Countdowns appear on your dashboard.
Pin or unpin a Countdown
Pin a Countdown when you want it to stay visible on your dashboard.
If you have multiple Countdowns and none are pinned, Momentum randomly displays one of them whenever you open or refresh your dashboard.
To pin or unpin a Countdown:
- Click one of your custom Countdowns at the top-right of your dashboard.
- Hover over the Countdown you want to pin or unpin.
- Click the Pin icon that appears to its right.
You can also pin a Countdown while creating it by turning on Pin to Dash.
Edit a Countdown
Update the Name, Date, or Time when your event details change.
- Click one of your custom Countdowns at the top-right of your dashboard.
- Hover over the Countdown you want to edit.
- Click Settings :settings: to its right.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
Archive or delete a Countdown
When a Countdown reaches its date, it displays the number of days that have passed since the date was reached.
If you no longer want it on your dashboard, you can either archive or delete it:
- Archive: Removes the Countdown from your dashboard but keeps it available in your archive.
- Delete: Removes the Countdown completely.
To archive or delete a Countdown:
- Click one of your custom Countdowns at the top-right of your dashboard.
- Hover over the Countdown you want to archive or delete.
- Click Settings :settings: to its right.
- Click ••• in the top-right corner of the Countdown menu.
- Select Archive or Delete.
💡 Tip: Archive a Countdown if you may want to view it again later. Delete it when you no longer need it.
View and restore archived Countdowns
Archived Countdowns are kept separately so you can view them again or restore them to your active Countdowns.
To view your archived Countdowns:
- Click one of your custom Countdowns at the top-right of your dashboard.
- Click ••• in the top-right corner of the Countdown menu.
- Select Show Archived.
To restore an archived Countdown:
- Hover over the Countdown you want to restore.
- Click the Restore icon.
Show random Countdowns
Show Random lets Momentum display one of your unpinned Countdowns alongside your pinned Countdowns whenever you reload your dashboard.
This is useful when you want to keep an eye on several upcoming events without displaying all of them at once.
To turn on Show Random:
- Click one of your custom Countdowns at the top-right of your dashboard.
- Click ••• in the top-right corner of the Countdown menu.
- Turn on Show Random.
To turn it off, turn off Show Random again.
