How Photos is organized
Every photo on your dashboard comes from a feed: Momentum Photos, our curated daily feed, or My Photos ❇️, your own uploaded images. From there, you can build two collections: Favorites, photos you've chosen to save, and History, every photo that's appeared on your dashboard automatically. You don't need to do anything to build History, it fills in on its own as your background changes.
View photo details
See where a photo was taken and who took it, without leaving your dashboard.
- Click Photo :image: at the bottom left of your dashboard, next to Settings :settings-2:
- The popover reveals the photo's location and photographer.
- Click the photographer's name to visit their page.
From this same popover you can also Favorite the photo, Skip to new photo ❇️, or jump to Manage photos and Settings.
Save or remove a favorite photo
Save photos to your Favorites so you can easily find and view them again later.
Favorite a photo
- Click Photo :image: at the bottom left of your dashboard
- Click Favorite :heart:
Remove a photo from your Favorites
- Click Photo :image: at the bottom left of your dashboard
- Click Unfavorite :heart-off:
View your Favorites and History
Momentum automatically saves your favorite photos and keeps a history of every image that's appeared on your dashboard, so nothing you liked is ever lost.
To view your saved photos and photo history:
- Open :settings-2: Settings.
- Select Photos.
- Choose Favorites or History.
You can also get there straight from the popover: click the Photo icon at the bottom left of your dashboard, then click Settings, it opens to the same Photos panel.

Hover over any photo in Favorites or History and two icons appear in the corner:
- Click the Checkmark to make it your active photo right away.
- Click the Question Mark to open Photo Info, a wider view showing the photo's location, photographer, and the last date it appeared on your dashboard. From here you can also click Favorite or Unfavorite, or use Set Active.
Skip to a new photo ❇️
Not feeling today's photo? Momentum Plus lets you rotate through a set of 7 photos anytime, without waiting for the next refresh.
- Click Photo :image: at the bottom left of your dashboard
- Click Skip to new photo.
Activate a specific photo from History
Want a specific photo instead of the next one in rotation? Skip cycles through the set of 7, it doesn't let you pick.
- Open:settings-2: Settings.
- Select Photos.
- Go to History.
- Hover over the photo you want and click the Checkmark icon to make it your active photo.
Choose your photo feeds
Control which feeds contribute to your daily rotation.
- Open:settings-2: Settings.
- Select Photos.
- Click Feeds.
- Toggle Momentum Photos and My Photos ❇️ on or off.
Add your own photos ❇️
Upload your own images to personalize your dashboard with the photos that inspire you most, from Settings → Photos → My Photos.

Q: What time does the daily photo change?
A: Momentum refreshes your dashboard photo every day at 4 AM local time.
Q: Can I skip to a new photo?
A: Skipping is a Momentum Plus feature. It rotates through a set of 7 photos, it isn't available on the standard plan.
Q: Can I choose which daily photo appears?
A: Momentum Standard users receive a new daily photo automatically. Momentum Plus members can activate any photo directly from History, to choose exactly which image appears.
Q: Can I upload my own photos?
