Find what you need without interrupting your flow. With Momentum Search :search: you can search the web right from your dashboard using your preferred search provider.
Enter your search and press Enter to open the results in a new browser tab.
Search the web
When Search is enabled, you'll find the Search :search: icon in the top-left corner of your Momentum dashboard.
If you don't see Search on your dashboard:
- Open Settings :settings-2:
- Go to General.
- Find Search.
- Turn Search on.
To search the web:
- Click the Search :search:
- Enter your search term.
- Press Enter.
Your search results will open in a new browser tab using your selected search provider.
Show Search below the center
For quicker access, you can display a larger Search bar below the center of your dashboard.
- Open Settings :settings-2:
- Go to General.
- Under Below the center, turn on Enable section.
- Select Search & Links.
The Search bar will appear below the center of your dashboard.
💡 Tip: Click the ••• menu next to the Search bar to quickly switch between Browser default, Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Ecosia.
Change your search provider
Choose the search provider that works best for you and use it whenever you search from your Momentum dashboard.
Available providers include:
- Browser default to use your browser's default search provider.
- Bing
- DuckDuckGo
- Ecosia
To change your provider:
- Open Search.
- Click the ••• menu.
- Under Search with, select your preferred search provider.
Your selection will be used for future searches.
💡 Search providers stay in sync: When you change the search provider in the Search app, it also changes the provider used by Search below center, and vice versa. Both Search locations use the same search provider setting.
