Having trouble completing your Momentum Plus upgrade? Payment issues can happen for a few different reasons, from incorrect card details to restrictions from your bank.
Try the steps below to get your payment working so you can complete your Momentum Plus upgrade.
Check your payment details
If you see “Something went wrong. Please try again”, start by checking the payment information you entered.
Make sure your:
- Card number is correct.
- Expiration date is correct.
- Security code matches your card.
- Billing address matches the information registered with your card provider.
Once you've checked your details, try upgrading again.
Check for international payment restrictions
Momentum is based in British Columbia, Canada. If you're upgrading from outside Canada, your bank or card provider may block the payment as an international transaction.
Contact your bank or card provider and ask them to allow the transaction, then try upgrading again.
If your card is declined
If your payment details are correct but your card is still being declined, contact your bank or card provider to find out why the transaction isn't going through.
If needed, ask to speak with their Tier Two or Technical Support team, as they may be able to approve the transaction or identify the restriction.
Visa or RBC card declines
Some Visa cards, particularly cards issued by RBC, may block payments to Momentum Plus.
Contact your bank and ask them to approve the transaction. If the payment continues to fail, contact Momentum Support and we'll help you with the available payment options

Q: Can I use PayPal instead of a credit card?
A: PayPal isn't directly integrated into the Momentum Plus upgrade process. If you're unable to complete your payment by credit card, contact Momentum Support to ask about available payment options.
